Featherweight and Vintage Sewing Machine "Spa Day" Maintenance Class

CLASS DESCRIPTION
Featherweight Maintenance Spa Day Hands-On Workshop
Do you own a Featherweight Sewing Machine? Do you want to sew with your precious Featherweight? Haven’t used it in years? Want to learn to maintain it yourself? This is the class for you. Featherweight Maintenance Spa Day!
Your paid registration includes a beginner cleaning kit. We will have Featherweight specific maintenance supplies on hand available for purchase the day of the class. In this hands-on interactive workshop, you will learn how to service your Featherweight or Vintage sewing machine yourself. You will develop the skill set to clean, oil, and grease the proper locations to keep your machine running in tip top shape. You will also learn some tricks to sewing with your machine and gain confidence in using it on a regular basis, if you so desire. You will feel empowered and ready for your next quilt or project. We will practice winding a bobbin, threading it, along making a sewing sample so you are comfortable enough to start piecing a quilt top or for your next sewing adventure. This class will provide you with some background knowledge and prepare you for a Part 2 - Feet and Attachment class in the future if you so desire. (We do have vintage feet available.)
Anyone occupying a seat, must have a paid registration. Each person is allowed to bring one machine. If the participant cancels within 14 days of class date, no refund will be issued. All class materials purchased at the shop receive a 15% discount. Signed waiver required before class. Waiver and supply list may be picked up in store, please call if you need it emailed to you.
